MINIATURE PAINTING ON POT

The miniature painting that is a part of the tradition of Himachal Pradesh is known as the Pahari painting. These paintings usually depict scenes from the love stories of Radha and Krishna. The Miniature paintings in Himachal Pradesh also portrays the Mughal culture and Mughal rule. The Pahari paintings sometimes indulge in the paintings of fauna and flora.

One very interesting feature of the miniature paintings of Himachal Pradesh are that the color, which is used is most of the time are natural ones. These are prepared from different vegetables, fruits, herbs and barks.

Painted on a varnished clay port is Radha-Krishna the epitome love in Indian mythology. This painting has its own charm and is an adieu to Radha-Krishan for lovers worldwide.
